Payment on the first date

Since I am an old-fashioned girl, I say that the guy should still pay on a first date. Let’s say that she is the one who asks you out and she says that she will pay, in the end, when the check comes, you can surprise her and insist on paying the bill.

This does not mean that you have to pay on every date, because I do not believe that a guy should become bankrupt just to meet a woman he likes. Occasionally, you could be going Dutch, but on a first date or in the beginning of a relationship you want to impress her, and women like it when guys insist on paying the check.  No matter if you take her to a fancy restaurant or a fast-food joint, a woman feels important and valuable when men insist on picking up the tab.
