Letsbond answers:
When you ask a woman on a date I think you are aware of the fact that you are letting her know you are romantically interested in her. The thing you need to know is you do not have to put any pressure or to rush things up. Taking her out for lunch is telling her that you are really serious about it and might scare her if she is not ready yet to get involved with a man.
Instead, you could ask her for a cup of tea or coffee and make it a casual thing. She will not feel stressed or pressured like she would on a date, and thus, things will be more natural. If everything goes well, you can also ask her on a date afterwards, but never act too hastily.
Women like to be courted and taken out on dates, but do not really appreciate feeling under pressure. Make her feel like you will spend some casual time together only to chat and find out more about each other. She will feel like you are giving her an option and time to decide whether she would like to see you again or not.
