I used to have a crush on a colleague of mine who is three years older than me. I started using the cocky and funny technique with her and after managing to get a date with her, I realized she was all I hoped for. What I want to ask you is: what should I get her as a birthday gift?

Despite the fact that all men enjoy dating, most of them really want to find a great woman with whom they can have a long-term relationship. If you meet a girl you really like, at some point in your relationship, you will have to face a holiday or occasion.
You don’t have to turn into a wuss to please her, but you can still do something great for her. You can make the occasion special without seeming needy, clingy or to give her the impression that you want to wow her because you don’t feel worthy.
To do that you could just pick her up, take her to dinner and afterwards, when you get home, put a candle on a cake and sing her happy birthday. That is how you make her birthday special without coming as a wuss: no questions asked, no telling her where you are going and no seeking for her approval.
