When meeting someone online, how do I know if the person whom I am talking to is real and not a hoax? This is why sometimes I dread meeting someone online. I don’t want to be disappointed.

After the first date, you should continue meeting that person and also talk on the phone. Despite the fact that a real person is at the other end of a keyboard, online relationships are not real so you have to meet in person eventually.
