There are two phrases that women use “Let’s be friends first” and “I only like you as a friend”. If she uses the latter phrase then it’s a sure thing that you won’t be together. Let me say to you that the only difference between the two of them is that the first one might trick you into believing that there might be something between the two of you and that will make you chase her for months.
What she really means when saying “let’s be friends first” is that she isn’t attracted to you but you are a nice guy and she doesn’t want to hurt your feelings. If you are hearing this from a girl, chances are that her last boyfriend was a wuss and she sees him in you.
There are many possibilities, but one sure is clear: once you are in the friend-zone, it is hard to get out of it. If you then tell her that she seems like she’d be a great friend, well, this is a very good idea because this will leave her wondering whether or not you like her.
