After talking to a woman for a while I called her once to ask her out, but he said she will call me the next day. She didn’t but she told me that she forgot about it and I blew her off with a cocky line like “Do you expect me to believe that? I think I’m making you nervous”. What should I have done?

First of all, I want to tell you that you are doing great. What you must keep in mind, though, is that beautiful women are often approached by men and sometimes they would give their number just to get rid of them. Moreover, women get a hit of power and an increased self-esteem when many men call them.
The main problem when a woman is approached by so many men is that she might not have the time to meet all of them, if they ever intended to. The fact that she e-mailed you shows that this was not the case for you. You shouldn’t leave her unpunished for this, though. Tell her in a cocky and funny way, that she is on strike one. You can go even further and tell her that because she did that, she will have to come and pick you up the next time you decide to go out.
She must know that it is not ok for her to be flaky and you can use this to tease her.
