Why is online dating underestimated?

I sincerely would like to know those people who underestimate the powers of online dating. Especially, on this days and age, when online dating sites manage to help people get to know each other and meet up through simple and fast methods. Still, there are some old school minded people who look at online dating as an artificial way of meeting love. But those people have misconceptions and can’t appreciate the spirit of evolution and adaptation to today’s society.
