If you want to have a happy dating life, you need to maintain an attractive physical figure. Even though it might sound shallow, and even though there are exceptions to this rule, it’s still a well-known fact that an average person doesn’t get much out of their romantic life if they don’t maintain a minimum of physical fitness.

Your dating life will only flourish if you maintain an attractive and athletic body, not to mention the health benefits a couple of exercises can give to you. Think of it like this: you will always look good, no matter what you wear. By exercising, your self-confidence will only grow and you will have more positive energy.

It’s really not that hard to make your body date-ready, especially if you stick with one of the workouts that we found to be quite effective.

Tabata intervals

Try replacing your endless cardio sessions that lead to muscular fatigue and increased incidence of injury, with a short burst of interval work. The Tabata interval proposes that you work out for 20 seconds after which you rest for 10, and repeat it 8 times in a row. It has been shown that this kind of exercises increases your aerobic and anaerobic capacity faster than cardio. It only takes 4 minutes, what have you got to lose?

High-intensity weight lifting

This workout has the same principle as cardio and weight lifting, but spending an hour lifting countless weights can lead to muscle damage. If you want to increase your strength and build your muscles you will get better results from an extremely short and focused session.

It consists in a set of two sets of two reps of two exercises using the bench press and the deadlift, which have to be performed three to five times a week. Just try this, go to the gym Monday, Wednesday and Friday and perform the heaviest bench press you can, two or three times, wait about five minutes and then perform the heaviest deadlift you can, again two or three times.

This combination will help your heavier weight lifting, maybe not at a professional level, but at least you will get the desired effects because of the fact that it works out every muscle group in your body.
