I will go on a first date with a girl I like and I was wondering, what can I do in case we hit an awkward silence and I will run out of things to say?

I know this is such a common situation that almost everybody goes through, but there are some things you might do to overcome the awkward silence.
One of the best ideas would be to say something completely unexpected and funny (for her). You could just tell her “You love me” with a straight face, out of the blue. She will be definitely surprised. I mean, most men would not have the guts to say anything remotely like this. Then, depending on the way she reacts you can continue teasing her with this type of lines.
The idea is not to be cute, but funny and confident. You can also tell her something like “I know you like me a lot, but please do not turn into a stalker”. She will find it funny and will definitely notice how confident you are to say something like this.
The whole idea of impressing a woman comes to surprising her and separating yourself from most men who are not confident enough to do that.
